Emily Cowart
Emily was born and raised in Savannah, GA, where she attended school in the historic district, embracing the city's architecture every day. Prior to joining SHM Architects, Emily was the Marketing Coordinator at Cowart Group Architects. She has had the joy of seeing her father, Gerald Cowart’s 38 years of experience in custom high-end residential and master planning projects. Growing up walking job sites and developments with Gerry, she developed a strong understanding and appreciation for architecture. Choosing to stay in Savannah to pursue her career, Emily joined the SHM family in the fall of 2024.
At Cowart Group Architects, Emily was involved in numerous high-profile projects, contributing her keen eye for detail and innovative ideas. She is continuously inspired by the work and creativity both inside and outside of the office, finding joy in collaborating with her talented colleagues.
When she isn’t working, Emily finds new creative outlets by visiting new cities, attending concerts, art shows, and exploring everything her beautiful city has to offer. She has a particular interest in local art and often participates in art events. Emily also loves spending time outdoors, enjoying the scenic beauty of Savannah's parks and waterfronts. She is passionate about community involvement and volunteers with local societies.
