Hayley field Machalek
Hayley joined SHM in October of 2024. She attended Texas A&M for both undergrad and graduate school, ultimately receiving her Master of Architecture and Certificate of Historic Preservation in 2020.
Hayley grew up in Dallas and remembers visiting open houses with her parents every single Sunday afternoon. She would then use the best modeling tool at her disposal, the Sims, and recreate and model the houses she has seen on Sunday from memory. In school, Hayley chose to study historic preservation and loves looking into the vernacular residential architecture of any city she visits.
She married her husband Cole, also a designer, in 2023. They have a Goldendoodle named Leo and two cats named Bo and Belle. In their free time, they enjoy antiquing, thrifting, working on their midcentury house, traveling, and spending time with their 30 nieces and nephews.
