Jim Jose, AIA
Jim Jose wanted to be an architect (or a race car driver) since age seven. His passion for making good design available to everyone has taken him all over the world where he has provided architectural services in developing countries for a variety of needs. He received a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University in 2001 and has been working to advance the profession ever since. He has served as AIA Chapter President in Colorado and is active in the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
As a Senior Associate with SHM, Jim serves as the Studio Director for our Crested Butte, Colorado office, servicing the architecture needs of the Rocky Mountain Region. His 25 years of experience in custom residential design in Colorado creates a strong foundation in our firm for the unique challenges of this region. His former experience includes co-founding a residential design and construction company catering to the resort industry of Colorado, and desires to build strong relationships between owners, designers, and contractors for successful projects.
Jim has been married for 25 years and loves being a dad to three college-aged children. In his free time, you’ll find him hiking or skiing with his family, or exploring the back country trails of the mountains on his mountain bike.
