Kara Janni
Kara is a native Texan and a 1995 graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is currently working on her Masters in Accounting at The University of North Texas in pursuit of her CPA license.
Kara has been in the Architecture and Engineering industry since 1999. Prior to joining SHM, she gained her industry knowledge in all aspects of the business by running her father’s mechanical engineering firm. Upon his retirement, she continued her career by building the finance department for a growing commercial architecture firm. Kara especially enjoys now working for a high-end residential firm where she can interact with clients on a more personal level. Having a passion for interior design herself, she especially enjoys seeing our talented team bring beautiful and creative designs to life.
Kara and her husband live in Argyle, Texas, and are recently empty-nesters. Their daughter is an elementary school teacher, and their son will soon graduate with a finance degree from The University of Arkansas. She enjoys traveling, the outdoors, entertaining at her home, shopping, and dabbling in interior design by helping friends and family with their homes.
