Phil Hoffmann was born in Denver, CO, and raised in Fort Collins, CO. He knew at a very young age that he wanted to be an architect and spent a lot of his free time in high school drawing floor plans and elevations for dream homes. He attended Texas Tech University and received a Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2012. He was a former treasurer and lifetime member of the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society and keeps up with Texas Tech Alumni events around Dallas.
Phil started working at SHM soon after graduation and has been with the firm since June 2012. He is a registered architect and completed the AIA Dallas Emerging Leaders Program in 2020. Phil has since become a senior associate at SHM and he really enjoys working directly with clients to fine-tune their custom needs and create a home perfect for them. He applies these same principles when working on a team with builders, landscape architects, interior designers, and engineers to see a project through from start to finish.
Phil lives in Plano, TX with his wife, Abby, and their two sons, Axel and Rush. They all enjoy the outdoors and spending time with close friends and family when given the chance. Phil hopes to teach his passion for sports and adventure to his sons when they become old enough to hold their own.
