Rodolfo was born and raised in Iowa where he learned to respect his family’s legacy of hard work. As a child he remembers wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a construction worker and build strong communities. That dream quickly evolved toward becoming an architect thanks to his ever-increasing love for art, travel, and the built environment.
Having known since he was young that he wanted to study architecture, Rodolfo received the MVP Scholarship to attend Iowa State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture, a minor in sustainability, and a minor in urban studies. During college, Rodolfo had the opportunity to travel both nationally and internationally which broadened his perspective as a designer.
Rodolfo first developed a love for architecture as a child and even promised his mother he would design her future home one day. He joined SHM in the fall of 2020 and is now actively developing his skills and passion for residential design, all while creating meaningful and impactful designs for the community.
Outside of work Rodolfo enjoys keeping up with friends and family, exercising, exploring the outdoors, supporting his favorite sports teams, and traveling.
