Ryan Taunton
Ryan Taunton was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but moved at a young age with his family to the great state of Texas. Ryan has been drawn to the practice of architecture and design ever since seeing an architect work on his parent’s home when he was a kid. Architecture seemed to be a way to combine his passion for drawing and creating. Ryan would later apply to Auburn University where he obtained Bachelor’s degrees in both Architecture and Interior Architecture. Prior to joining SHM in February of 2023, Ryan worked at other high-end residential firms in Texas and the Southeast. Although interested in other design projects, specializing in residential architecture has always been the main pursuit of his design career.
In 2017 Ryan married his high school sweetheart, Adrianna. They spend time together with their beautiful young daughter and two dogs. Their mutual passions include traveling, food, and adventure.
Ryan’s love for design comes from a combination of his many interests. His inspiration comes from his time spent reading, drawing, and communing with other people. He believes these activities connect in design and the search for beauty.
